MUSIC by the Lake will return in 2022.
The live music event, organised by Weldmar Hospicecare and Kingston Maurward in Dorchester, attracted thousands of visitors when it was first held in July 2019.
The event was scheduled to take place again in 2020 but were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Organisers had hoped to hold the event again this year but have made the decision to hold the next Music by the Lake in 2022 instead.
Alaine Harman, organiser, said: "We cannot wait to bring the live music back to the glorious surroundings of Kingston Maurward next year. Plans are already underway for what will be a spectacular event that will raise vital funds for Weldmar.
"Whilst we had hoped to hold the next event this August, and there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccines being rolled out, we took the decision to put it on hold to make sure enough people are able to be confident enough to come and enjoy it safely."
