HOMES in Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester experienced a power cut following a fault at an electricity sub station.
Electricity supplier SSEN confirmed a brief power outage was caused by a fault at a sub station in Weymouth on Sunday.
A spokesman said: "Engineers are currently working onsite to rectify the issue, believed to be caused by faulty switch gear.
"It may have caused an initial short disruption but power is now back on and we do not anticipate any further outages as while the problem is resolved."
In an update at around 7.25pm, an SSEN spokesman added that the fire service attended the sub station earlier as a precaution, and that the issue has now been fully resolved.
