Ahhh! We’ve done it!

We’ve finally shaken off the shackles of those nasty Europeans and stepped into the clean fresh air of liberty and freedom!

All those doom-mongers - who said that Brexit would be a chaotic disaster - what did they know.

So there may have been a few problems: Prices inevitably driven up by bureaucracy and delays, fish rotting in British ports, the pound close to its 20-year low, thousands of jobs at risk, lorry chaos in Kent, the end to easy cheap travel in sunny Europe - who cares about any of that.

Let's focus on the good things that Brexit has brought - the brand new trade deals with Egypt and the Faroe Islands!

I’m partial to dates, and now I can get as much camel feed as I need - at very competitive prices!

As for the Faroes - to take full advantage, I’m determined to develop a taste for pilchards.

I’m a bit concerned that the extra £350 million a week to the NHS seems to have evaporated at this time of dire need, but at least those who led the way - Boris, Rees-Mogg and Drax will be alright - they’ve all got private health-care, and their inside contacts will ensure that they don’t suffer any financial pain - which is only fair, as it's so hard for those born to wealth and privilege to give any of it up; it’s impossible to underestimate the beneficial effect that they have had on our nation.

I’m not sure what has happened to Nigel - last seen in the USA supporting his idol Donald Trump; - but all that talk of “Rat” and “Sinking Ship” - how can people say such things of someone backed by the supreme intellect and national icon Ann Widdecombe?

Yes - I feel so “free” and “in control” - makes it all worth while, doesn’t it??
