Diversion route around Weymouth Harbour Pictures: Dorset Council / Google Maps
DRIVERS are being informed of a month-long road closure affecting traffic around Weymouth Harbour and The Esplanade.
Gas utility company SGN will be carrying out work to replace a gas main on Belle Vue, which connects East Street to The Esplanade.
Belle Vue will be closed throughout the duration of the work, which will take place between March 8 until April 2. Emergency access will be maintained.
Drivers will be signposted along the following diversion route:
Route description
1. Head north-west on Esplanade towards St Alban Street
2. Turn right onto The Esplanade
3. Turn right towards Custom House Quay
4. Turn right onto Custom House Quay
5. Turn right onto East Street
