A 29-YEAR-OLD man died after 70mph winds blew him off his motorcycle - which caused him to crash into an oncoming car, an inquest concluded.

Dad-of-two James Vizor, 29, died on the B3157 coast road, between Portesham and Chickerell, around 5.30pm on December 8, 2019.

An inquest into his death held at Bournemouth Coroners Court, presided over by Assistant Coroner for Dorset Richard Middleton, revealed Mr Vizor died from multiple injuries after his black Triumph Bonneville crashed into a green Daihatsu Fourtrak 4x4.

The crash was caused by 'bad weather conditions' including a wet road surface and strong winds of 70mph, which was said to have caused Mr Vizor's bike to hit the oncoming car.

Mr Vizor had finished work and was travelling to Weymouth to go camping. He died at the scene.

Mr Vizor worked at Sysums Barbers in his hometown of Stroud, Gloucestershire.

In his spare time the motorcyclist played rugby for Painswick RFC.

At the time, the club posted a tribute on its Twitter page. It said: "Rest in peace, Jamie. All our thoughts are with your family at this tragic time. You will be very sadly missed by all.

Another Painswick brother taken too soon."

Mr Vizor leaves behind a daughter and step-daughter.

Evidence from court revealed both the bike and the car involved had no internal or mechanical issues.

Mr Middleton said there was no alcohol consumed prior to the crash by either Mr Vizor or the two occupants of the Daihatsu.

Mr Vizor's inquest was viewed via video link by his dad, mum, brother and sister.
