A FLOOD alert has been issued across West Dorset, Dorchester and outskirts of Weymouth.
The Environment Agency (EA) has issued the weather warning as water levels in West Dorset are set to rise further, bringing a risk of flooding to minor roads especially in the north and south Winterbourne valleys.
It is expected to level off after tomorrow as the area is predicted to experience colder drier spells.
Dorset has already been hit with rain overnight, causing high tides and river levels to rise in the area.
