THERE were delays on a key Dorset route after it was partially blocked following a crash.

Police officers were called to a two-vehicle collision on the Crown roundabout in Bridport at 11.44am on Monday, February 22.

The A35 Sea Road South was partially blocked in both directions as a result of the crash and caused delays and slow moving traffic on the key Dorset route.

The road was cleared and traffic returned to normal after 12.30pm.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 11.44am with a report of a two vehicle collision on Sea Road South in Bridport. It was reported that the road was partially blocked.

"Officers attended and there were no reports of any serious injuries. Officers left the scene at around 12.30pm."

A spokesman for Travel Dorset said at the time: "Reports of A35 Sea Road South partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident from B3157 Burton Road (Crown roundabout) to Pasture Way."
