THE Esso petrol station in Lanehouse Rocks Road, Weymouth is asking for an extension to the times when deliveries are allowed.

An original planning condition only allowed fuel deliveries between 7am and 10pm, but the company says that for ‘operational reasons’ it would like to start at 5.30am – allowing deliveries to take place when the forecourt is not in use.

Documents submitted to Dorset Council asking for the change include a noise impact assessment which concludes “early morning deliveries can occur on site without any unacceptable adverse impact on neighbouring properties.”

The company say that no other deliveries will be affected by the proposed change in conditions, other than fuel.

Comments on the proposed change can be made to Dorset Council by March 17.
