Further to Jan Parmentier’s letter re. litter I have noticed that frequently seagulls take rubbish out of bins to get at any food and in doing so scatter the waste all about.
These bins are full to maximum capacity so to help stop this problem I assume either they need emptying more often or there needs to be a better design i.e. bins with some sort of lid.
Can the authority responsible not attend to this - if only to replace bins in the most affected areas?
