FIRE crews were called to two separate call-outs involving diggers on fire.
Crews from Dorchester, Wareham and Poole were called to a digger which was alight yesterday around 3.15pm in Wool.
The call-out yesterday saw the digger 'fully engulfed' in flames, which lead to the fire spreading to the ground, according to a spokeswoman from the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Fire crews were on scene in the undisclosed location in Wool until 6pm yesterday.
Two crews from Wareham and Poole were called to a second fire today - this time involving a JCB digger on fire around 1pm in Chalk Pit Close, Bere Regis.
The crews attended the scene with the JCB digger 'well alight' with the flames extinguished around 1.50pm, according to the spokeswoman.
Fire crews remained on scene until 3pm.
The fire crew spokeswoman said: "I can confirm that we have attended two separate digger fires over the past two days.
"One on March 3 in Wool, where the digger was fully engulfed, and a second one today in Bere Regis - with the JCB digger well alight."
