When are shopkeepers going to stop moaning and do something different to entice the public back to the high street?

Shop front displays are boring and have not changed for decades.

Visiting the high street has got to become an experience and the the only shop in Weymouth which seems to be embracing that concept in my view is Floral Couture by Jay in Abbotsbury Road.

The only shop front displays worth a special trip that I can recall have been at Christmas in New York and Oxford Street.

May I suggest that in Weymouth, the BID should be taking the lead and coordinating the transformation of our high street into a place people WANT to visit not just for the purpose of buying goods (which will follow) but as a place of enjoyment.
