AN air ambulance was called after a man suffered a cardiac arrest in Weymouth today.
Ambulance crews were called to a medical incident at a private address in Weymouth following a call at 10.47am.
Witnesses say an air ambulance flew over the Rodwell and Wyke Regis areas of Weymouth and landed at approximately 11.50am.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance say crews landed in the area to respond to a man suffering from cardiac arrest in the area.
The man was transported to Dorset County Hospital for further treatment while the air ambulance left the area before 12.30pm.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said: "I can confirm that Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended an incident reported as a cardiac arrest in the Weymouth area today.
"An adult male was taken to Dorset County Hospital by road. The critical care team on board our aircraft ground escorted him to hospital in an ambulance."
