I understand that they’re installing railings on the harbour wall from Town Bridge to the old ferry terminal.
This will stop all locals being able to enjoy a drink on the harbourside from the local pubs unless you’re lucky enough to get an outside table (we all know how difficult that is when the holiday makers descend).
I’m guessing this will affect the pubs that haven’t gained lots of additional outside seating like the Ship amongst others.
The really worrying thing is this hasn’t been consulted with local people who have socialised on the harbourside responsibly for years.
Who are the individuals in the council who have pushed this through under the radar?
Do we really want them in our local council because they seem to feel they can make these decisions without asking the Weymouth residents who voted them in?
More importantly how can it be stopped?
