A KEY route in Dorset was partially blocked on Thursday morning (April 8) after a vehicle overturned in a crash.

Emergency services were called to the A30 Yeovil Road in Sherborne in response to a two-vehicle collision at 7.13am.

One of the vehicles overturned and landed on the grass verge off the carriageway. No one was seriously injured in the collision, police say.

The collision caused slow traffic in the area throughout the morning as emergency services attended the scene and removed the vehicles.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 7.13am on Thursday with a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A30 Yeovil Road at Sherborne. It was reported that one of the vehicles had overturned and the road was blocked.

"Officers attended, along with the ambulance service. There were no reports of any serious injuries.
