It surprises me how many people are jumping up and down about the harbour railings in Weymouth.

I am more concerned about the horrendous animal cruelty cases recently reported in the Echo.

All the cases have had derisory punishments handed out by the magistrates.

Apparently, you can be fined more for digging up wild English bluebells.

The law is completely incompetent when it comes to safeguarding animals and needs to be changed.
