A CLIMBER was injured in a fall on the Dorset coast yesterday.
Both the Coastguard search and rescue helicopter and air ambulance were scrambled amid fears of serious injuries.
They were joined by Coastguard rescue teams and police at the scene at Dancing Ledge in Purbeck.
A spoksman for Purbeck Police said: "Swanage Neighbourhood Team headed out to Dancing Ledge to assist the Swanage and St Albans Coastguard teams with a climbing incident.
"The Coastguard and Air Ambulance helicopters also attended.
"Thankfully the incident wasn't as serious as first thought but one person was taken to hospital."
