Crews from Wareham Fire Station, Hamworthy Fire Station as well as another two crews from Poole Fire Station were mobilised around 7.30am today to the fire in Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster.
The fire crews were supported by an aerial ladder platform from Westbourne and a water carrier from Poole.
A spokeswoman from the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a commercial property in Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster at 7.21am this morning for a fire in the ground floor unit.
"Two crews attended from Poole, along with other crews from Hamworthy and Wareham - supported by the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne and a water carrier from Poole.
"The stop came in at 10.22am, saying the fire had been extinguished by six breathing apparatus wearers using two hose reel jets. Thermal imaging cameras were also used to check the whole building for fire spread.
"Following an investigation, it was determined that the fire started accidentally due to an electrical fault."
