AN INVESTIGATION has been launched by police after a bike was reportedly stolen from a Domino's branch in Weymouth town centre.

The alleged theft took place on Saturday, April 24 between 4.30pm and 5.15pm.

CCTV footage, which can be seen above, shows two males and a female loitering around Gloucester Mews on the opposite side of the street from the back entrance of the Domino's branch on King Street.

The video shows the three people crossing the street and waiting for a member of staff to enter through the back door. One male is then seen running in immediately after him and leaving with the bike.

The bike is a blue Raleigh Strada TS 2 Mens Hybrid Bike - 22". 

Footage of the alleged theft has been widely circulated on Facebook. The CCTV pictured above has been blurred due to legal reasons. 

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 2.30pm on Sunday 26 April 2021 that a bicycle had been stolen from Domino’s Pizza on King Street in Weymouth.

"It is reported that the bike was stolen between 4.30pm and 5.15pm on Saturday 24 April 2021.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident. No arrests have been made."
