DRIVERS are being warned of a road closure after a serious accident in Dorset.
The A350 at Shaftesbury is closed due to the incident which happened in the area of Street Lane.
It is affecting traffic between East Knoyle and Shaftesbury.
Dorset Police is at the scene. A spokesman said: "Road closed on behalf of Wiltshire Police due a serious accident.
"You can only take first turning to Semley. Sorry for any inconvenience."
In an update at 8.45 this evening North Dorset Police warned drivers that the road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
A spokesman said: "The B3081 between Gillingham and Shaftesbury is closed and will be for several hours.
"Please find an alternative route. Thank you for your co-operation."
