A CAT trapped inside a car engine has been rescued by firefighters in north Dorset.
A crew from Shaftesbury Fire Station came to the rescue of the frightened animal using specialist equipment yesterday morning after being alerted to the incident at around 11.27am.
A spokesman for Shaftesbury Fire Station said: "On arrival we found a cat stuck inside the engine of a car.
"We got to work and released the cat by using air bags and small tools. Once released we handed it back back to its owner."
