POPULAR bar Slug & Lettuce in Weymouth has confirmed the date it will reopen to the public.
The popular 'smart bar', in St Thomas Street, has been closed to cocktail-lovers since shutting on January 4 due to the UK's third lockdown since March 2020.
However, a spokeswoman from the smart bar chain has revealed the Weymouth branch's reopening date.
The spokeswoman said: "The Slug and Lettuce will be opening on May 17 when Government restrictions ease further."
The Weymouth branch is the only Slug & Lettuce in the Dorset Council area. The near branches are in High Street, Poole, and Richmond Hill, Bournemouth.
