A WOMAN dislocated her hip on a vessel in Weymouth Marina just after midnight.

Wyke Coastguard were called to the marina, in Commercial Road around 1am on Sunday morning and assisted the South Western Ambulance Service during the operation.

A spokesman from the coastguard said: "The team paged were just after 1am to assist South Western Ambulance Service in Weymouth Marina.

"A female on a vessel had dislocated her hip.

"After paramedics reduced her pain score she was placed on the teams stretcher and carried from the vessel.

"She was placed on the ambulance service's stretcher and the team assisted paramedics, wheeling her safely across the pontoons to the awaiting ambulance."
