Weymouth Pavilion has announced its first show in front of live audiences once doors can reopen amid the easing of Covid restrictions – a socially distance performance of The Simon and Garfunkel Story Unplugged.

Creators of the critically acclaimed show have created a ‘virus safe’ unplugged version of the production to perform, which will be staged at the venue on Friday, May 21.

Additional hygiene and safety measures will be in place at the theatre to ensure audience members feel comfortable and safe.

The show chronicles the story of two young boys from Queens, New York, who went on to become the world’s most successful music duo of all time.

The show features a number of hits including Mrs Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer and The Sound Of Silence.

Weymouth Pavilion has been recognised for the safety measures it has had in place throughout the pandemic and has been awarded industry marks from Visit England’s Good to Go and Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre’s See it Safely campaign.

Tickets for the show, which will start at 7.30pm, cost £22. For tickets and information call the Box Office on 01305 783225 or visit their website weymouthpavilion.com
