NEARLY 20 new positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Dorset, according to the latest figures.
Data from Public Health England show 19 cases have been reported across both the Dorset Council area and the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole region in the last 24 hours.
Eight people in the Dorset Council area have tested positive for coronavirus in this time period. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of people who have tested positive within this area for Covid-19 stands at 11,903.
The recorded coronavirus cases in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area has increased by 11. Public Health England figures show that 25,370 people within the BCP area has tested positive for Covid-19.
The latest figures come after it was confirmed no patients with Covid-19 had died within Dorset's hopsitals.
Across Dorset, 37,273 people have tested positive for coronavirus over the course of the pandemic.
