TWO MEN were injured after the car they were in flipped on to its roof.

Two men have been treated by paramedics after the black Ford they were travelling in overturned on the A31 near Stoney Cross over the border in Hampshire.

Lane two of the eastbound carriageway was blocked earlier today.

Motorists were warned of heavy delays of up to 25 minutes.

No other vehicles were involved and both men suffered only minor injuries.

A police spokesperson said: "Our officers were called out to an incident at 10.48am this morning (5 May) following reports of a single-vehicle collision on the A31 Eastbound carriageway near to Stoney Cross.

"A black Ford has crashed and come to rest on its roof in the carriageway. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) and South Central Ambulance Service are also on scene."

A spokesperson for HFRS added: "Crews from Ringwood, Burley and Redbridge were called 11.02am on May 5 to attend an RTC on the A31, between Picket Post and Castle Malwood, involving one vehicle. Two male causalities experience minor injuries and later handed to the care South Centre Ambulance Service. Stop message received 11.59am."
