The refurbishment of the 'wet side' changing rooms at Bridport Leisure Centre has been completed.
The leisure centre will now be able to increase the number of swimmers per session to 18.
The new unisex changing rooms comfortably allow for social distancing and a sanitised cubical will be allocated to members on arrival.
The changes to the 'wet side' changing rooms were carried out so that the centre could increase the amount of swimmers in the pool at any given time.
The leisure centre was awarded £14,000 as part of Sport England's 'Return to Play' grant, alongside a further £5,000 from Symondsbury Parish Council's 'Recovery' grant. This funding went towards the improvements to the centre's facilities.
These improvements also include inserting energy efficient LED panels in both changing rooms, adding new trough sinks and re-grouting both changing room floors.
