POLICE are warning homeowners and motorists of potential theft after a vehicle was broken into and a doorbell was stolen from a property.
According to police, the vehicle break-in happened during the morning of May 7 (Friday) in Brickyard Close, Swanage.
On the same morning, officers received reports of a 'Ring' video doorbell being stolen from a property in Durberville Drive.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "A 'Ring' video doorbell was taken from an address on Durberville Drive. The doorbell's wires had been cut.
"A vehicle was also broken into at Brickyard Close and some small items were taken from inside.
"Police would like to bring these reports to your attention and ask you to remain vigilant and review your security arrangements for your property, especially your sheds and outbuildings."
