Friends Of Greenhill Gardens have started a Spring Clean.

On the Esplanade adjacent to Greenhill Gardens are three large brick lined planter areas. Two have been devoted to plants that can cope with the salty weather conditions and one is a mosaic.

The mosaic features various elements of Weymouth including beach huts, sailing boats and the Osmington White Horse. It was constructed by The Waterside Community Forum in 2007 and was in need of cleaning and some repair work.

The Committee members of the Friends of Greenhill Gardens are in the process of doing this work.

The photos show the mosaic and Alan Burton, Adrian Carey, Jane Chandler and Tony Tunbridge on the Esplanade who have been working on the cleaning of the mosaic.
