A FIRE broke out in a supermarket in Swanage this afternoon.
Firefighters were called out to Swanage when a fire broke out in the plant room of the building.
Pumps from Swanage, Wareham and Westbourne were called out at 12.39pm.
The supermarket was said to have been evacuated before the firefighters got there and there were no reported injuries.
Crews used two CO2 extinguishers, two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a safety jet, gas monitoring equipment and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze and stop message indicating that the fire was under control was sent at 1.36pm.
A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "Crews from Swanage, Wareham and Westbourne attended a fire at a supermarket in Swanage when a fire started in the plant room of the building.
"Crews used two CO2 extinguishers, two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a safety jet, gas monitoring equipment and a thermal imaging camera."
