TWO cars had to be parked on a grass verge for over three hours to avoid traffic delays after colliding on a main route through Portland.
Police were called to a collision yesterday morning after a silver Ford Fiesta and cream Renault Captur collided at the St George Estate Road-Weston Road junction.
In order to reduce traffic delays on the busy Portland route, both cars were parked on the grass verge at the junction, until both the Ford and Renault were recovered from breakdown vans.
Police confirmed there were no injures as a result of the collision.
A spokeswoman from Dorset Police said: "We were called at 8.37am on Monday 17 May 2021 to a report of a two vehicle collision on St Georges Estate Road on Portland.
"Officers attended the scene. There were no reports of any injuries."
