A POPULAR venue for wildlife enthusiasts on Chesil Beach has reopened to the public.

Dorset Wildlife Trust's Chesil Beach Centre has fully reopened in preparation to launch the Dorset Art Weeks with a Dorset wildlife art exhibition, which starts on Saturday and runs until June 6.

Another venue run by the Trust, The Fine Foundation Wild Seas Centre at Kimmeridge, has also reopened.

Visitors to the Kimmeridge site can expect to see some fresh new displays, including a stunning art exhibition by Weymouth artist and scuba diver Sandra Stalker.

The Trust's Kingcombe Centre near Dorchester has also reopened with its new Humble Bee Café, which started welcoming visitors this week.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Trust is holding the bubble beach clean as part of Litter Free Coast and Sea’s Great Dorset Beach Clean event.

Groups of six people can book an hour-long slot for a self-led beach clean, with litter pickers provided.

Booking is essential on 01305 206191.
