I have often wondered why the best part of Weymouth beach is covered with the attractions right where on the sand, which is, after all, the main attraction.

It is therefore out of reach for small children and families for play on.
Why can’t all clutter be set up at the other end of the beach where the sand is now less attractive with the shingle that is encroaching along what used to be sand all the way up as far as the pier bandstand.
Covering the southern end with any more attractions seems to be even less beach that is known nationwide to be its main attraction.
