POLICE are warning businesses to be 'vigilant' after two men were seen stealing drums of oil near Abbotsbury.
Police were called after reports of two men driving a white Ford Transit van were seen stealing drums of oil from a business in West Bexington.
Once spotted, the two men put the oil drums back and left the area when told to do so.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "At 9.15am on Saturday May 22, two males in a white Transit van attended a business in West Bexington and attempted to take drums of used oil.
"They were seen loading them into the van, but returned them and left when told to.
"Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us, at the time, on 101, or call 999 if you believe a crime is in progress."
