Further to Dorset Council playing hard ball with the residents of Wesley Street in relation to their planters encroaching on the public highway, can we expect to see residents of Weymouth and Portland being reminded of their responsibility to cut back hedges, trees, brambles, etc that overhang public walkways?
While they are at it maybe they can encourage the residents on Portland Road, amongst others, to park on their driveways and not completely on the pavement.
In addition, maybe the recently trained enforcement officers could be deployed across the borough, and not just the town centre, to look out for all sorts of hazards to the public with particular emphasis on the dirty dog walking fraternity who find it impossible to clean up after their charges.
