A MAIN route in Weymouth remains closed after police said they are dealing with an incident involving the welfare of woman.
Part of the relief road in Weymouth is shut while police deal with the incident after a woman was said to be 'on the wrong side of the railings on the bridge above Weymouth Relief Road between Jurassic Roundabout and Veasta Roundabout.
Police confirmed other roads which were closed have reopened - including Littlemoor Road between Bincombe Bumps and Dorchester Road.
Weymouth - there is significant travel disruption in the area.

It comes after police closed the stretch of the Weymouth Way between Chafeys Roundabout and Manor Roundabout around 5pm yesterday.

The section of the Relief Road between the Jurassic Roundabout and Veasta Roundabout remains shut.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "At 12.10pm today we received a report of concern for the welfare of a woman, who was on the wrong side of the railings on the bridge over the Relief Road between Jurassic Roundabout and Veasta Roundabout, near Morrisons.
"Officers are attending in an effort to resolve the situation.
"Although the Relief Road remains closed, all other alternative routes which were shut are now open."
Heavy traffic and delays are likely.
