A DRIVER is to appear in court after a woman was seriously injured after bring hit by a car outside a Weymouth shopping centre.
As reported, a female pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a car outside Littlemoor Shopping Centre, Louviers Road, on Thursday afternoon.
Police and the ambulance service attended, and a man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
In an update, police confirmed that a 48-year-old Weymouth man has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday June 25..
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We were called at 4.14pm on Thursday June 3 2021 to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at Littlemoor Shopping Centre in Weymouth.
"The female pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service for injuries that are believed to be serious but not life-threatening."
