THOMAS Hardy's Fordington will be revealed on a walk around the area led by Mark Chutter and Alistair Chisholm.
The walk on Sunday, July 11 from 1.30pm-4pm is part of the International Thomas Hardy Conference.
It will take in Salisbury Fields and Fordington Vicarage, where a new information board will be unveiled by the Mayor of Dorchester Gareth Jones and Town Crier Mr Chisholm.
Christine Chutter will talk about living in the vicarage and the links between Hardy and Horace Moule, before singer Olivia Carstairs performs an eclectic range of Dorset songs. The walk then moves to St George's Church and the Moule graves followed by a stroll along Mill Street finishing with refreshments from Bean on the Green.
Book a ticket for £5 via the Hardy Society website (see the events page).
