OUTDOOR live performances can be enjoyed at a Dorset beauty spot this summer.

Three events are lined up for this month at Dorset Council’s Durlston Country Park in Swanage.

On Saturday, June 19, The Cabinet of Living Cinema offer a magical evening of Enchanted Cinema. Celebrate solstice under the stars with live music accompanying films from 100 years of animation. With the enchanting setting of Durlston’s Aviary Glade, lighting and live music, it is being billed as an evening to remember. There will be another showing on Saturday, July 31.

On Sunday, June 27 The Woodland Clan Story is a free outdoor performance bringing writer Annie Herridge and illustrator Mark Page’s book ‘The Woodland Clan’ to life. A musical narration of the story, scored by composer Chas Dickie, and the beautiful outdoor setting make it the perfect place for a family afternoon Bring a picnic and your singalong voice to any of the three showing times through the day. Tickets are free however booking is required through Durlston Country Park.

Then on the evening of the same day, Durlston will host an exciting performance of William Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ as The Lord Chamberlain’s Men bring the play to life.

Dorset’s rural touring arts charity Artsreach is partnering with Durlston Country Park to welcome the company to Swanage. Tickets can be bought through www.artsreach.co.uk
