Prison sentence for man who stole charity collection box in Dorset
A THIEF who stole a charity collection box and burgled a property in Dorset has been handed a prison sentence.
The man, who is local to the Gillingham area, stole a collection box belonging to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
A spokesman for North Dorset Police said: "Following enquiries by Gillingham Neighbourhood Policing Team and CID, a local man has been arrested, charged and given a custodial sentence for theft of an air ambulance charity box and dwelling burglary."
