CLASSIC cars will rev into Dorchester for a showcase of vehicles from yesteryear this weekend.

Brewery Square will play host to the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club on Saturday, June 26.

Members of the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club will be showcasing their cars to the public between midday and 2pm. The show will also include live jazz music to transport visitors back to a nostalgic era.

Vice chairman, John Dancy will be showing off his 1968 Morris half-ton van to interested car enthusiasts.

He said: “I am looking forward to bringing it to the show it has just passed its MOT and it’s great to get it out.”

Mr Dancy added: “This is the first time in over a year the club has done any type of show or meeting. It is a great pity that a lot of the shows have been cancelled - I understand it is for a good reason, but we do miss it.

"It is a really nice club and we are all very friendly.”

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager at Brewery Square, said: “We believe it’s important for local businesses to support one another after such a difficult year, so we’re delighted to partner with the Dorchester Classic Vehicle Club.

"They have a fantastic community of classic car owners and we’re excited to introduce them to Brewery Square, helping make our visitors’ shopping trips even more memorable.”

Brewery Square is operating with strict health and safety measures on site, to ensure the wellbeing of all shoppers, staff, and retailers. Hand sanitising stations are available around the complex, with floor stickers in place where queuing is likely, and daily door handle cleaning.
