A BODY of a man has very sadly been found in the garden of a Weymouth home by police searching for a man who went missing from a nearby holiday park.
Officers searching for missing Robert Hillier, who was reported missing from the Haven holiday park at Preston Road, issued a statement this evening.
Robert Hillier, aged 47 and also known as Jamie, was reported missing from the Haven holiday park in Preston Road at 8.43pm on Saturday June 19.
At 4.30pm on Monday 21 June 2021 police received a report that the body of a man had been found in the garden of a residential property in the area of Preston Road.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Robert. His next of kin have been updated of this sad development and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been made aware.
