ACTORS and actresses are being called to audition for a comedy adaptation of a famous Sherlock Holmes novel to be staged at Weymouth Pavilion later this year.
Weymouth Drama Club is auditioning for its production of The Hound of the Baskervilles at the The Warehouse Theatre, 7 Hope Street Weymouth on Wednesday, July 21 at 7.45pm.
The production was going to take place in April last year but was delayed by Covid-19. It will now be performed at the Pavilion Theatre in Weymouth on October 21 to 23 this year.
Based on the Arthur Conan Doyle novel, the adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles is a comedy drama which has been described as 'a wonderful barking spoof'.
The stage adaptation was written by Steven Canny and John Nicholson and is an ensemble piece, with actors playing several roles.
The production requires six actors. Auditions will be open to anyone aged over 18, male or female, who are fit and active as it has been described as a physically demanding play.
