A DRIVER has had their grey Audi seized by police due to the car not being insured.
The car was seized by officers in the Gillingham area in north Dorset.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "Another uninsured vehicle seized in north Dorset, by Gillingham Neighbourhood Team."
According to www.gov.co.uk police could give drivers a fixed penalty of £300 and six penalty points if caught driving a vehicle without insurance.
If the case goes to court the offender could get an unlimited fine and disqualification from driving.
The police also have the power to seize, and in some cases, destroy the vehicle that has been driven uninsured.
