It was great news to hear the result of the England v Ukraine soccer match and I’m sure many people celebrated responsibly.
I wonder if those celebrating knew what their children were doing at the time?
A large group of (very polite and well behaved) youngsters had erected a tent (presumably without permission) on Portland Port land above the old Nicodemus hockey pitch and were definitely not social distancing.
I was assured by them as I walked past that they would take their litter home but next day there were still cans and bottles, and not far from the tent, toilet paper and its accompanying detritus.
Well done the England team anyway.
