WEYMOUTH striker Brandon Goodship is relishing his reunion with boss Brian Stock.

Goodship worked alongside the former Wales international at the Brian Stock Academy in Bournemouth.

Goal machine Goodship, 26, then enjoyed a prolific first spell with Weymouth in which he scored 77 goals before joining Southend.

However, he netted just six times before his release as the Shrimpers were twice relegated – they will face the Terras in the National League during the 2021/22 season.

And Goodship revealed Stock was a big factor in his return to Weymouth.

“I’ve known Stocky for a few years now,” Goodship told Echosport.

“I’ve worked with him at his academy and known through my time at Bournemouth.

“I spoke to him numerous times before I signed and his vision for the club was really impressive with his ideas.

“I’m looking forward to getting back and putting together a good season.”

Goodship added: “It’s just how he’s got the club running, a professional setup.

“It’s just the way he works day-to-day. From what he’s said to me, it sounds very promising.
