I DON’T think the voting for the grass verge-cutting debate is quite as straight forward as for or against.
A lot of people I talk to on this issue think that whilst some should be left to dear old mother nature there are areas for safety reasons where they should be cut back; road junctions in particular.
Our road signs do need clearing of overgrown foliage - speed limit signs, etc.
I think we realise Dorset Council are using this to see what they can get away with as one of their many cost cutting exercises but I think a compromise is now due.
