A NUMBER of cannabis plants were discovered hidden in long grass in a field in Weymouth.
Police were alerted after a farmer made the discovery while cutting the grass on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesman for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Neighbourhood Officers were made aware of a small number of cannabis plants being grown within a field located just off of Chickerell Road.
"The landowner was unaware that the plants were there until the long grass was cut back by the farmer. The plants have since been recovered and will disposed of."
