A WOMAN has been resuscitated on the beach after being pulled from the water in a 'life-threatening' condition.
A woman was pulled from the water on Greenhill Beach, Weymouth at around 1.45pm this afternoon.
Paramedics resuscitated her and she was taken to hospital for further care.
Police were also at the scene.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: "We were called at 1.45pm about an incident in the area of Greenhill Beach, Weymouth. We were told someone had been pulled from the water, and was in a life-threatening condition.
"We resuscitated the female patient at the scene, and transported her to hospital for further care."
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 1.51pm of a woman in need of medical assistance on Weymouth beach.
Officers have attended to assist the ambulance service at the scene."
