THREE fire crews rushed to a blaze near Corfe Castle involved seven acres of a 10 acre field.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called shortly before 1pm to Sandy Hill Lane.
A spokesperson said: “We’ve had a field fire off Sandy Hill Lane, Corfe Castle; time of call was 12.48pm, we have crews in attendance from Swanage (fire engine and small 4x4 pump), Wareham (unimog and fire engine) and Westbourne.
“The stop came at 1.55pm although we are still on scene, about seven acres of a ten acre field has been involved in fire, this has been extinguished using four hose reel jets, damping down continues.”
