A SURVEY has been launched asking businesses and community groups to share their views on what should be done with two vacant council buildings in Weymouth.

Weymouth Town Council have identified two vacant assets and would like feedback from local businesses and/or community groups that would be interested in operating from one or both premises.

The vacant assets include the Community Building in Wyke Regis (Former Toilets), adjacent to Wyke Regis Gardens (Portland Road) and Swannery Car Park Market Office.

The town council said that this survey will help them understand the level of interest, the forms of proposed operational activities and their potential value, enabling the council to shape the future direction taken with these assets and any procurement exercise that may follow.

The closing date for the survey is Friday, August 27 at 12pm.

The council said it reserves the right to not proceed with any proposals or a procurement process.

The Survey can be found on the Weymouth Town Council website. To arrange a site visit to review one or both properties e-mail Procurement@weymouthtowncouncil.gov.uk
